“I love the hills Patted soft by time and feet Of so many off for walks.” Anonymus
In Montà d’Alba, our family has led a traditional farm for generations. Now we keep breeding Piedmontese cattle, and still cultivate the vineyards, the fields of cereal and the meadows; after renovating our old farmhouse, we inaugurated our agritourism in 2000.
Our property spreads over about 13 hectares; 3 of those, located on the gentle slopes of the hills of S. Vito, are covered with vineyards only. The farm, as it should be, takes most of our time and our whole family is involved in different duties.
Vittorio is a part-time worker in a company not too far from Cascina Ponchietta, and with his parents he is involved in the farm duties; together they also take care of the wine production. After doing their homework, our sons Francesco (18 years old), Pietro (16) and Giacomo (14) also give us remarkable help in the maintenance of the gardens and in the horticultural duties. Giulia, who speaks fluent English, occasionally aids Marina in welcoming the guests while also helping in the maintenance of the rooms and apartments.
