Giuseppe (born in 1934) and Maria (born in 1944) are originary of S.Vito, suburb of Montà. With their six children they arrived at Cascina Ponchietta in 1973. They kept up their activity, breeding Piedmontese cattle, cultivating vineyards, meadows, cereals and hazelnut trees.
Giuseppe’s son, Vittorio (born in 1967), lived with his family in the main house (which dates back to 1920) until 1990. He attended the agricultural school of Grinzane Cavour, where he graduated in 1986. Vittorio’s wife, Marina (born in 1969) used to live in Alba, and as soon as she finished the secondary school she started working with great passion in the family bakery.
In 1991, Marina and Vittorio met and fell in love; they got married in 1994. Their idea was to create a beautiful, large family and so in 1995 Giulia was born, then Francesco in 1997 and Pietro in 1999. Giacomo was born in September 2001 and he happily completed the family.
In 1998, they had the great idea to turn the place into a rural accommodation farmhouse, and in January 2000 they started to restore the structure of the old building, maintaining the original architecture of the old house. At the end of September of that same year, with great satisfaction they opened the new agritourism.
