April is one of the most beautiful times to be in Roero, Piedmont. The vineyards come back to life, the trails through the Rocche wake up after winter and the cool morning air gives way to afternoons of full, warm light. It’s the right time to move through the hills without rushing, mix outdoor walks with cultural stops, and linger where it’s genuinely worth it.
Between Roero, Langhe and the surrounding area, April offers a packed calendar: fixed-date events and experiences that run throughout the month, all lending themselves to a balanced itinerary without having to squeeze everything in.
Let’s explore them.
1. Piemontgravel – Roero, Langhe and Monferrato
10th to 12th of April 2026 – Bra

6. Walks among the Roero Rocche
Throughout the month – Roero
Make the most of April to walk among the Rocche — it’s one of the best times of year to do it. The trails between Montà, Cisterna d’Asti and the surrounding hills wind through woodland, vineyards and open views over the Rocche: the dramatic ravines carved over centuries by the erosion of the Tanaro river. Scenic, varied routes worth covering before the summer heat sets in. The reference point for trail information is the Ecomuseo delle Rocche del Roero.
