Cascina Ponchietta is a farm stay in the Roero, Piedmont. A working farmhouse with animals, a playground, a pool among the wineyards, and space outdoors for your children to play in from morning to evening. Around it, the Roero hills: ready to be explored.
The farm animals
Merlino, Ringo and the other farm animals
There are animals at the farmhouse; in the small barn: Piedmontese cattle, rabbits, hens. Around the courtyard: our cats, and our two dogs, Merlino and Ringo, who greet very guest with the same enthusiasm.
For many children, it’s a first: the first time seeing a cow up close, holding a rabbit or collecting an egg from the henhouse. Small memories they will look back on with a smile.

Playground, pool and vegetables garden
The playground is large and well-equipped, children will be entertained for hours. The outdoor pool looks out over the vineyards and the Roero hills, and it’s open from April to October. The vegetable garden is accessible to our guests: help yourself to vegetables and fresh herbs whenever you like.
For families with kids, we also offer a farm photo scavenger hunt, a list of things to find and photograph around the farmhouse.

Studio apartments and rooms for families
For families with young children, Le Masche is the most confortable choice, a single-level studio apartment with no internal stairs. : tutto su un piano, senza scale interne. Le Rocche and Porte Disné, both with a mezzanine sleeping area, work well for families with older children.
All three studio apartments have their own kitchen and accomodate up to four guests. The rooms Cantè j’ov and Fe balè l’urs accomodate up to three. Breakfast is free every morning for every guest.
